Next gen and big names: Boomers squad revealed for Asia Cup warmup

The countdown is on. With just weeks to go until the FIBA Asia Cup tips off, the Boomers are kicking preparations into high gear.

They’ll face the University of Colorado on the Gold Coast later this month, offering fans a first glimpse at the talent bound for Saudi Arabia.

It will also mark the first game in charge for new coach Adam Caporn.

All but two players on the 14-man roster have NBL links, led by stars like Jack White, Xavier Cooks and Will Magnay.

Young guns Ben Henshall, Owen Foxwell and Next Star Dash Daniels will also get their chance to impress.

“We’ll have a good mix of experienced Boomers and players getting their first taste of international tournament play at this level, so we expect the learning curve to be steep and will embrace the opportunity to also grow as a group,” Caporn said.
